The platform must also provide:

- A second SCART and jack connector for connecting an external

microphone.

- A digital satellite television tuner. It must follow DVB normative and must be

accessible as defined by DVB API.

- A USB 2.0 interface.

- An Infrared keyboard .

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-7020 The system shall include the possibility to configure manually the IP address

of the Ethernet interface which connects the terminal to the network.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-7030 The Ethernet interface included in the platform shall allow the possibility of

configuring multiple IP addresses over it, i.e., shall support IP aliasing. The

secondary address or addresses shall be configured manually, too.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-7040 A flash storage device is required in order to save the BIOS, the operating

system, the middleware and the installed applications (32 MB required, 64

optional).

The platform may have an IDE, SCSI or USB 2.0 hard disk for storing

downloaded content. If a swap partition is created, the main memory may be

limited to 32 MB.

AVC video up to 5 Mbps, via software into the main processor or through a

specialized auxiliary DSP.

The system must be able to decode XVID and DIVX (as they are MPEG4-

based, no problems are expected in their implementation).

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-7080 The system must have decoding capacity for MPEG1 layer 1, 2 and 3, AC3

pass through y AC3 down mix decoding, via software into the main processor

or through a specialized auxiliary DSP. AAC is an optional feature.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-7090 The system must implement H261/H263 codecs for videoconference

services. These algorithms can be implemented through a DSP or via

software.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-7100 The system must have GSM, G723-1 and G729 audio codecs for

videoconference and VoIP services. These algorithms can be provided

through a DSP or via software.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-7110 The system must be able to decode MPEG2 MPTS/SPTS. Support for

MPEG4 over RTP is optional, and RTSP for Video on Demand control may

be also considered.
